This is a very deep line, and I love it. Okay to me it has a love meaning. If you don't see the love that you had with your ex anymore then you can't grieve the love that ya'll once did have. It can also be related to a baby and a bottle. If a baby doesn't see a bottle, then it won't notice that it wants it. I guess this is sort of like the saying "You don't know what you've got until it's gone" in a weird, abstarct kinda way.

Sometimes open your eyes means to look around you and see what is going on or realizing something. So not taken literally it means you won't grieve over any thing you refuse to accept.

In other words, what boy/girl don't know, won't hurt him/her. That is just a denial idea that one is capable of committing. It's just a lame excuse to hide the truth from someone. Someone who can get hurt. I hate that quote. Peace, girl.

Like me, I don't grieve my grandpa's death because I wouldn't look at him in the casket. I just remember him for who he was and keep his spirit alive.

not always true..sometimes our hearts grieve just from our thoughts...
for example..if we think our spouse is cheating weather they are or not...it still hurts..

This is like a saying in spanish: "Ojos que no ven, corazón que no siente", it means that if you are not aware of something it cannot possible harm you, sometimes you blind yourself to the truth so it doesn't hurts.

It means someone is hiding something from you, rather sneaky really. Hope is wasnt a loved one.... have you heard the expression "out of sight out of mind" its like that only with affairs of the heart - far more serious... please dont trust the person who told you this - shifty = my interpretation.
