Yes, they most certainly are and the current team is also very, very young. They could very well win the world cup in 8 or 12 years (and some of today's players might still be playing then!). Hopefully, reaching the Super Eights and getting to play 5 more games against the top teams in the world (sorry Ireland!) will raise the profile of the game in Bangladesh and help feed the system with bright, young, talented players who could form the basis of the national team for years to come.

You are very right in your current assessment. Yes, Bangladesh cricket team is improving day-by-day and getting hold on otherwise slippery slope of world fame in this discipline by reaching Super Eight in this year's ICC WC matches.
However, this improvement process should be ongoing matter and let the Sports Development School at Savar help take talented pupils and groom them up for final 'cutting' by Dave Whatmore types of coaches to transform them into future diamonds. PS. Complacency would doom Bangladeshi players like anybody else.
Btw, Coaches and Managers may look into the matter of teaching the cubs basic Etiquettes (manners on and off the field, table manners, press manners etc.) and also put emphasis to improve on spoken English. Who know, our Ashraful & Co may have to face some more interviews in future! Good Luck!!

yes. same as the Irish and the dutch.
it's good to see the 'minnows' had beaten the big guns in the WC.
i just hope that it will close up the gap between the top teams and the 'smaller' teams.
and i hope that after this WC, the bigger team will give more respect to those teams like bangladesh.
