Our government is ruled by the people that we elect into office! These people only have the jobs they do because WE elected them, yet we act as if they have all the power. Will we ever realize that change is what we have the power to do? Will we ever send a message to these officials by throwing them all out and putting in new people when they don't do what we elected them to do?

Put it this way: If you hired an electrician to wire your house, agreed to pay him a salary 50 times what you make in a year, and he neglected to wire the house, would you keep him on the payroll as your electrician, or hire one that will actually do the job they are supposed to be doing?

I married almost a yr. ago, and we have a 7 month old son. when my husband introduced me to his family then, i had bad feeling about one certain cousin! could be that when i met him he had a tatoo of japanese writing on his chest and told me that it meant "love". i got on the comp. and found out that it said "amber" which was this certain cousins name! in the meantime-shortly after being married i found some old e-mails that was saved on his pc while being in iraq. they was from her and he has had a serious realationship with her! not only e-mails but pictures of them having sex! i confronted him, and he says he is ashamed of himself for what happened and didnt want to tell me! i also confronted his family and asked them if they knew about this , they say no! in the meantime i am angry for accepting this person as my new family and trusting him being with his own family is another story! i love this man, i know he is the one and im scared! i dont harp on this daily ! please help!!!

Is it offensive to an Asian girl if I tell her she has the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen?

She is an international exchange student from a Chinese university.

Obviously, I want to tell her this, because she really does have beautifully shaped eyes, but I am afraid it might offend.

He was married at the age of 28 after 8 years of courtship, now he is 36 and has a kid of 8 years.Wife is 29, nice and overwhelming attitude now she is showing symptoms of a break up.Not initmate but does all her menial and financial family tasks helping her in laws too.Family :Husband & in laws drinks and go out pubbings.Very social family life while she detest that coz
of her daughter's upbringing.no physical but mental abuse by husband(inferiority complex)and another blunder was her early commitment at 16 during jc days.I wish to help her but am her family member how to tell her to rekindle it again .she says she is living as a stone replica in this family for status and her daughter.No affairs but her husband did that twice, and she accepted him so she is considered an angel with no flaws.Till now she gets family outings and maintenance for both her parents and in laws.We want her back but she is living a life which is meaningless without love.Is it time for her to move on.

I have no idea what to do.
I became very ill and had to move back home to my parents.
But I had gotten a dog long before and am absolutely in love with her.

I picked her up from the pound just a day before she was going to be put down.
She had been heavily abused and was so scared of everyone.
However she came to me and has made SUCH HUGE improvements.

She lives normally now, but I still keep her on a short leash so strangers can't reach for her out of the blue and I keep her away from all children.
I met with a special dog trainer and he told me this dog was remarkable for being so nice considering the circumstances she grew up under, and that in a very loving consistent home with a fenced yard and lots of place to run she would calm down and be a perfect pet.

I love her over EVERYTHING and want nothing more than to find an ideal home for her.

She is about 20 pounds and a chihuahua terrier mix.
She is adorable and needs a loving parent devoted to her!
What do I do?

I see a lot of people labeling them as invalid arguments. (Teleological, Cosmelogical, Ontological)
Wouldn't this be seen as someones belief in God is greater and perhaps holds more weight than an a priori or an a posteriori argument proving his existence?
I guess I am asking what it would take to have an actual valid argument in the existence of God. I for one think William Paley's design theory is somewhat valid when you look at it in a simple, broad approach. By the way, aren't complex problems nothing more then numerous simple ones? Could we not apply them to proving the existence of God?
