no i wouldnt call it mean i would call it cocky. but my friend greg. He is the Funny Football Playing Black kid that eveyone loves. He is soooooooooo sweet like i got a hair cut and came up to me and said Kirsten theres something different about you. And i said i got a hair cut about a week ago. And he goes yea i know it looks great. But i think your smiling today. Like a real smile. I like it your a really pretty girl. And he is a BEST FRIEND. SO it just matters.. If the popular guy is a Cory. THen yes i am sorry some r mean,

No.. my bf was a football player in HS and he's popular.... still has his little "groupies" as I lke to call them of little 15 year old girls that just fall all over him:) And he's far from mean! He's actually incredibly sweet

I think about 90% of them are mean, but they don't intend to be. They've just been spoiled rotten by society and haven't really learned yet how to be fair and civil. I think the right way to handle them is to treat them like you would anyone else. Don't flatter them or allow yourself to be at their mercy, for if you do BEWARE.

i agree with the top answer, it depends who it is. there is a guy in my grade he is like a celebrity in my school, but he is really decent, and hangs around my group.
but on the other hand some of the guys at my school are real jerks, it just depends on the person themselves.

"Meaness" can be an Alpha survival trait (and chick chemistry generator) along with cheating, controlling bahavior, and deception
However being mean is hardly a recommended characteristic in life

I think so, cause they have to deal with more people and that gets them to a mind state of frustration witch could be continuious
