I'm having an open house for my birthday. People have told me that they are bringing gifts, but I know not everyone will. When is the appropriate time to open the gifts that are brought? I don't want to make a big show of it or make people feel bad if they didn't bring a gift. Thanks!

I am 28 weeks pregnant, but because my hubby is military we are stationed in Germany, so we are seeing a German OBGYN. We are moving to the states in a month though, so I will spend my last month of pregnancy and delivery in the States. Is it ok to "skip" this months appointments? If everything is normal, and I've already had the required tests and shots, I monitor my BP and kick counts every day at home, is it illegal to miss prenatal appts if there is no other OBGYN that I would be comfortable with?

humanity & be at peace ?

I am searching for a place & point in MY life where I can be at peace but have yet to find it. Honestly,I am not sure if
Christianity is the place for me. What would you do ?

I believe in a lot of things & I think I have a lot of "faith" but God, Jesus,Christianity,& religion are the biggest mystery & confusion for me. When I read "the word of God",I get depressed & feel like I am worthless. I was told this was the place to go to find peace & the proper living of life, but if I have to be depressed & literally feel worthless every time I read it, I prefer to just stay away.

I was reared Catholic,I don't want to offend anyone, but Catholicism is a joke to me.The church has offended me into having no faith at all.To many lying,hypercritical,abusive people for me.I have & still do on occasion visit other churches,for me I have come to believe I Do Not have to go to a man made building to talk with God or have a relationship with him if that is what I choose.

Last night I upgraded to Microsoft Vista. I have an Officejet 6310 All-in-One printer and am having trouble printing. I have the printer connected to my home network. When I send something to the printer, it will sometimes print the first page and then half of the second before quitting. I have played with the spooling settings and even tried printing directly to the printer. I can't even print a test page without it quitting after getting half of the MS logo printed. I have no problem printing from my XP computers that are attached to the same network. Anyone have any advice for me?

I have a step-daughter who is nearly 3 years old, my fella drives a convertable car and thinks that it is ok to drive with the roof down when the weather gets better and his daughter is in the car. I disagree due to polution, the sun and because she is so young.

I'm in a sticky situation with a former male friend of mine. We were close friends b4, but we had joked about hooking up until I got upset with him since I ended up wanting to and felt like he was disrespecting me. I ended up calling him a dog since he has a gf/fiancee overseas and was talking to me about doing it.
