I actually do use half vinegar and half water. I run it through the coffee maker &
when it's through and cooled off I put it back in the container for next time. I also
suggest that you put an extra pot of water through to get rid of any vinegar taste
or smell and dump it..

Hi there,
You use White Vinegar. You don't have to use a mixture of water. Just pour the vinegar into where you would put the water. I usually put it in to about 8 cups, then just let it run. I also usually do it twice. I can make the room smell, so I advise opening a window. Then when that is done, dump out the vinegar and run water through it a couple of times to get the taste out. Hope this helps you.

Pour 4 cups vinegar into coffeemaker. Turn it on, let it run 60 seconds. Turn if off and let sit for 30 minutes. Turn it on and let vinegar pump through. Turn if off, pour hot vinegar back into coffeemaker, turn it on and let it pump through again. Pour vinegar out (clean your drain at the same time. Put 1/2 cup baking soda in drain, pour vinegar down drain, let sit). Refill carafe with cold water, pour into coffeemaker and cycle it through. Pour hot water down drain and repeat. Done!
