I salute you. Most Catholics turn out to be Atheist due to their warping of Bible truths and money making schemes. I have Faith in my creator and in Jesus who died for my sins so I can have everlasting life. However, I have not found God in a building as you say. I've found the exact opposite in 'buildings'. His Word is enough for me, and my relationship with my heavenly father is one on one. I live my life according to what he expects of me (try to at least, but as I'm imperfect I stumble a lot) and keep my eyes open in these 'last days'.

Canjun:
Boy do you have some healing to do!
First of all there are two things to consider here 1)being religious, and 2) being spiritual. The two are not mutually exclusive. You can be religious and not be spiritual, and you can be spiritual and not belong to an organized religion.
The Catholic Church has a long history that have led to the culmination of its beliefs ~ it has its origins as far back as the Holy Roman Empire which conquered lots of land with lots of gods and goddesses. They tried to press the Catholic beliefs onto the peoples they conquored, but were not successful. In the end they changed some of their ways to include the own religious customs and practices to incompass those of the conquored peoples. I would recommend reading one of the two books listed below (you can find them on Amazon.com). The knowledge of the history of the church from which you came can often free you from the confussion and mystery you feel now. That is the premise of many religions...to confuse and mystify everything so that you have to depend soley on them to interpret life for you. Take your power back. Read up on the history of the church from which you were reared, thus freeing yourself from this baggage. Then go forward and see life again for the first time in a new way. I would recommend also a book called "Meeting Jesus Again for the First Time" by Marcus Borg. It discusses the historical Jusus and the contemporary faith based on his life.

I am not Christian, but I was for a very long time. When I became dissillusioned with Catholisims, I tried many other religions before I found my "home". I am Pagan, by lifestyle, and Wiccan by faith. Now I am not saying this is for you, what I am saying is explore other avenues, someone already said don't squish who you are into a place you don't fit.
They were right, because you will only become frustrated and walk away from that as well.
Research different paths, Buddism, Taoism, Wiccan, somewhere you will find where you fit.
I never believed I needed to be in a specific building to talk to Divinity. Churches were built by man, to serve man.
The Divine created the earth, the trees, the rivers, the mountains, so I believe that is where I should be to talk to them. Or I could jsut be in the comfort of my own bed. You talk to the Divine with your heart, not with your place.

"it is not fate, nor chance, nor luck, nor coincidence that you are breathing at this very moment"(rick warren, "the purpose driven life").God is love.the greatest proof of love is the death of His only Son.but many can't see this as it's meant to.it became a fairy tale.but just think about Christ. He came so you could live.be free.feel the moment He 's so perfectly giving to you.no worries,no distress, you have a Savior. He felt that for you, long before you even existed.he stood on that cross thinking of you and knowing it will come a day when you'll ask yourself about your fate.he felt the thorns, the nails, the blood and the tears and all world's sin.he felt lonely and abandoned("My God!my God!why did You abandon me!").so all our sin be erased and we'll gain life.you only have to see this.to believe this.you are forgiven.you can have peace and an identity,if you just ask.you worth more than you can imagine:)try to read the Bible having this in mind.try Isaiah.if you take a step to God,He'll take 99.and will answer your questions and provide you the perfect church He has already made for you.

When you read the Bible and feel worthless, thats not what God wants for your life. The enemy tries to tell you worthless lies so that you wont get to know the truth about Jesus. The Bible sometimes does make us feel convicted though. Our lives are ever-changing, and when we read the word of God, it penitrates our spirits and really affects our lives. Thats a good thing!
Your searching for more in your life, and Im glad your opened and searching. My advice to you would be to Pray, and ask God to show you Who He is to you.
The Bible says to ask, and you will recieve. Hearing from God can be through people, His word, through prayers, dreams. etc.
God is a mystery and we will never know the answers to everything. But living a life with God beside you is such a better life.

You are in a good place, you are searching. Ask the Lord and
He will bring you to truth. I too, was, RC, no offense. But it didn't
have the answers. If you believe that Jesus is God, you are
a Christian. You need a good sound Bible believing Church
that teaches correct doctrine. I can't tell you where to go but
there's alot of junk out there in the name of Christianity. If you
ask He Will lead you to truth and peace. It's knowing HIM a
relationship with Him, not a religion.

My family belonged to the Congregational Church, and later they converted to Lutheran. Neither one ever made any sense to me. I found out about the Baha'i Faith and decided this was the right religion for me.
Baha'is believe in the oneness of religion, equality of men and women, equality of races, world peace. We don't have a professional clergy (every Baha'i is expected to learn as much as they can). We don't take donations from non-Baha'is.

on condition that you've not executed your analyze. there is convincing information for the tremendous bang. faith relies upon upon faith, which, with assistance from definition, is the absence or perhaps outright *denial* of information. Likewise, morality replaced into round formerly faith. it remains round with out faith. seem at many countries with extreme populations of atheists. Norway, Sweden...all of them have low crime rates. for sure, there could be morality at artwork. also, in case you imagine the in person-friendly words element you may stay for is an afterlife that ought to or gained't exist, it extremely is fairly....unhappy. yet as well, it is your difficulty. i'd advise seeing a psychologist, because it extremely is an illustration of melancholy. Supernatural beings are a theory a lot harder to appreciate.

I can tell you without any doubt that true joy IS found in CHRIST.
John 17
12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
You must first believe in the love of the Father and the Son have for you personally. Then study to find what is expected of you. It's really not that big a mystery, He says 'Seek ye first the kingdom of God..."
If you want, you may email me.

I am Catholic. If the Church is not the place for you I would look to the Buddhists for spiritual instruction. Buddha and Christ both had compassion at the core of their message. They probably hang out together now. Peace be with you
