Hey Guys, I need some opinions, When teaching American elementary kids on how to speak chinese in their first lesson, what would be some interesting things they could do, or rather, the teacher should prepare? The kids have never studied or probably heard about chinese(the language). Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot!!!!!!!

I have a 2001 Ford Sport Trac. It began to run rough (especially cold or idle) immediatly after getting a smog check. The mechanic insisted that he didn't have to unplug/disconnect anything to do the smog. "It's all visual."

I don't trust that he hasn't done something accidently. Now he wants to look at it and charge me. It seems too coincidental.

I consider myself a leftist. I am annoyed though with the mentality that most on the right seem to have about guns-especially how so many of them seem to think that most on the left want to “take all guns away from everyone” and “even take them away from our soldiers”...Wow.

The reality is, I myself do NOT like the idea of the government telling someone like my grandfather that he does not have the right to have and must give up his old hunting rifle(though I sure as hell do not care for hunting). Also I do not like the idea of the government telling me I cannot have and must give up my legally purchased handgun in my nightstand.

I do hate however, the fact that in my old neighborhood before I left for college, kids like my best friend’s little brother were able to buy GUNS off the STREET easier then they could buy cigarettes at the store.

So, my question is this: HOW can we protect the rights of Law abiding citizens to own guns, but also crack down hard on the black market?

Since I have GAINED weight since I had my 2 month old I decided this week to join and gym and get serious about losing it. Unfortunatly, since I started, she seems to be eating more and more. Like every hour or two during the day. At night she goes to bed around 10pm and sleeps until about 5 or 6am without needing to be fed. She has been sleeping through the night for weeks. I USED to pump about 4-6 ounces in the morning after she ate because she would go back to sleep for about 3-4 hours and that was when my milk production was the highest. Last night, I pumped and only got about an ounce and a half out of each side. Granted, I haven't been pumping that much lately. But, is my working out causing my milk production to decrease? Or is the sleeping through the nights causing it to decrease? I am concerned because today (the first time I haven't worked out since Monday), she was hungry ALL day. I fed her and then an hour later she was crying and sucking on her hands,

hi i invited a Hindu friend to come eat sushi, but she said eating seaweed is not permitted..why is this? i've tried researching on the net about it, but i didnt ask her directly what sector of Hinduism she follows.. so i'm hoping to have my question answered in none other than India!
She does not eat egg products either, if this helps identify which sector she follows.

I usually get them on my nose only....i remeber that when i was younger i used these strips to put on my nose, but i don't know ifthey still sell them or if they are good to use.

My childhood friend is in the united states coastguard and left me his military e-mail address and phone number to stay in touch. He has always been true to staying in touch. Out of the blue, his e-mail address is not applicable anymore and his name is no longer recognized.
I am afraid that something bad may have happened to him. I do not have any way to contact his family. how can i go about finding out if he is alive? is there a military database people search or something?

We are trying to sell a car and my bf still owes 1500 on it so since he hasnt payed it off the bank still has the title. A prospective buyer is coming to see it tomorrow and has cash to buy. were both 17. this girl has pillow fights with me, puts her photo into my phone as wallpaper, calls up my friends, even parents for jokes, even though i dont find it amusing, always laughs at my jokes, she gets very close to me, and wont move away.....and likes to touch me alot, and play with things i have. i get mixed signals though, as sometimes during the day she wont talk to me at all, cause she studies, but when were together she cant stop talking, and offering me food, and drinks, and going out places.One thing she does alot is curls up and goes to sleep for like a minute,and then wakes up, and does it again......whats all this mean???she also tells me about times when shes stressed at school and so forth....one thing thats really wierd though, she likes to know what her name is on my phone when it rings???.........need help, im from canada btw guys. I like this girl heaps, and need her to know that, cause im really scared of losing her to someone else

I really think the music today isnt about the music anymore. Its more about selling the most albums and making the most money. The songs arent even good, its just a repeat of the "hippest" song the week before.
all the artist has to do now is make a song that only says "ride low in my escalade" and it will be a hit.
