I don't see that. I can't see an African and tell you what country they came from, I can't see an European and tell you what country they come from, and I can't see a South American and tell you what country they come from so I say it applies to all

To you, the difference may not be significant, to "The Asians" it is. By now, most of them may be used to it but they aren't pleased to be called the wrong thing, mainly because of past conflicts which led people towards "hating" the others. An example, Indians and Pakistanis don't like getting switched around, and neither do Japanese and Chinese. The differences are most noticeable in their physical and facial features, but you can't base your decisions on that, if you cant tell the difference. just ask. I'm sorry if anyone is offended, but most of the time I judge a person's nationality by their face and am 99% right. As far as the question goes...yes, (we) do get offended, and it is something that shouldn't be too hard to figure out, but in the end it all depends on the person your dealing with.

I'm latina and latinos are in similar situation.

I mean....even fellow latino's can't tell just by looking at someone what their nationality is.
But it's true most non latinos think that everyone in latin america has the same culture which is completely not true.

I don't get offended. I correct them. If they say "Cuban, Mexican it's all the same" then I proceed to punch them in the groin.

I can tell what exact nationality each person is on this Earth, from Africa, to Asia, to Europe, to South America. Knowledge is power.
