Im getting a divorce after 15 years of violence and mental abuse, I have two sons aged 14 and 8, the eldest one has decided to stay with his father... I feel I have failed him as a mother. I had outsiders telling me to keep trying for the kids sake but i cannot afford to keep getting depressed and mentally breaking down.. I took the steps but seem to have lost my son in the process, He even gave me my mothers day present today saying he might not see me again.... all these years i stayed for the kids sake. I love him dearly and my tears are not stopping today, I hope one day he will know and realise that I love him so much.

My computer is constantly making the most wierd sounds!!!
Sometimes it sounds like thunder, sometimes like it is burping real loud and sometimes it sounds just exactly like someone is bowling. What are these dumb sounds? It's almost like my computer is alive!!

My daughter received a gift of $15 cash from a boy in her class who did not make it to her 10th birthday party. What would be a good way to word the thank you note?

we have so far: "Thank you so much for the very generous birthday gift! It was so thoughtful of you.
I will have a lot of fun shopping and using the money to buy something really cool!

I'll see you at school!"

would it be good to add "sorry I missed you at the party.." or "you were missed at the party." or mention him being missed at the party? or better to not mention it at all? any ideas how to word it (as far as him not being at the party).

me and my boyfriend have been smoking crystal meth. but i found out i was pregnet so we both decided to quit. but today i just found out that he never really quit and it tempted me to smoke. so i did smoke today. but i regret it so bad. i dont no what shoud i do? i want to keep this baby! but since i was smoking before i found out i was pregnet and then i smoked again today, is my baby goin to be healthy? should i just go with an abortion? if i decided to quit today and never smoke again would my baby be okay right now?

i guess that is my question. is my baby okay right now?

I already have a job, but I'm interested in getting a second part-time (seasonal) job this summer at the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto.

Jobs available are: House Security, VIP Host/Hostess, Guest Services Representatives, Ushers, and Gate Staff. What are these jobs like? How often would I work, and what kind of hours, as well as what kind of pay will I be receiving?

Is VIP Host/Hostess where you cater to famous people backstage? That sounds kinda cool.

Also, say if my favourite band is playing one night and I'm a security guard or a gate ticket person or something, does that mean I will miss out because I have to stay outside?

Are there any perks to having this kind of job?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Okay, I'm 14F and in 8th grade. I am always stressed and I think I'm starting to suffer from depression. I feel lost and pointless in the world. I hate everything and everyone. I recently started cutting, but have gotten help from an adult to stop. How can I deal with my depression? How can I deal with being stressed all of the time? Are there any over the counter things to help?

Sometimes I get very stressed because I can't live up to everybody's expectations...they are VERY high...

The belief that theists are uneducated, inbred, and generally stupid people seems to abound here.

Is that the only way an atheist can justify wide-spread belief in the world?

Honestly - if that's the case, that's pretty sad. Yes, there are some theists out there that are not the brightest stars in the heavens by a long shot - but so are some atheists. I have met some atheists that are dumber then a rock. Should I then say that all atheists are uneducated and stupid?

It seems more of a statement based in desperation. That the only way to explain it is to insult another's intelligence.

There are some brillant people out there who are theists. Note, I didn't say Christian - just that they have some faith in the Divine. And I have met others that have discovered so much through science that they became theists.

Please - I don't insult the intelligence of atheists. Is this the only way atheists know how to interact?

Hes the kinda guy thats likes it his way or else, he doesnt trust, he acts like he cares, but really i think its for show. Hes the kind that has a dark ora all around him. Thats why i wanna figure out how to break that.....somehow, can i? even sexually?
