I think I know the answer, but I wanted to be sure and nothing on the net is very helpful. I'm getting Sims 2 will all the packs except the new seasons one, but anyway I would like to be able to utilise elements from all of them (university, nightlife, etc.) By having pets installed, will I still have use of the custom areas introduced in nightlife and open for business, as well as the university? Do these packs all build on to each other? I guess what it all boils down to is: Can I create a business downtown, send a kid off to university and have a bloody cat in my house, all at once? Cheers.

when i give the shut down command via the start menu..it tooks a lot of time to appear the shut down window..

can you plz tell me the reason for that and how to overcome that...

P.S i increased my RAM from 128 MB to 256 MB ..but the problem is still the same

...I'm afraid she won't like me anymore or will think I'm weird because my house is so ugly and small. I've been to her house and it's huge and very pretty, her room looks great. Mine is small......because I live in an apartment building. And I'm not American so she will think I'm weird when my parents and siblings talk in a different language. So what should I do so she won't think I'm weird?

I have been offered a fantastic job... but my last employer has not responded as my reference. Admittedly, I did not ask my boss to be my reference, but the job application form specified I put my previous employer. I was a very good employee yet my old boss was always less than professional. I was on time every day but always had to wait fifteen to twenty minutes for her to arrive before I could get in for example, and I never felt much appreciated however hard I worked, slaving extra hours that I got no recognition for.

I have been told to get in touch with her myself. I managed to get her mobile number but it's always switched off. There's nothing I can do but go find her myself in a few days time when she's in but I'm annoyed that I have to bother going to so much trouble when it would only take five minutes of her time- and I'm worried she'll refuse to give me a reference.

I'm fuming mad and this will not help me in my begging for a reference. Any advice? What are my rights?

ok, I'm half Indian, so I have a dark complextion.....but I don't know what color of dress I should wear to my 8th grade graduation......please help. So I'm dating 3 women who don't know that I'm dating other women...I also have an interest in 3 other women who potientially want to date me...theres nothing too special about me except that I am really really nice....I'm a huge romantic and I love to make people happy. It gets worse because i feel bad that I am not telling these women about what I am doing...It would hurt if someone did this to me.
Im just confused about why I do this....I seem to seek out attention from females....I have very few male friends most of my friend are females and half the time i think i would mess with them to if i could...its like my life is one constant effort of getting more women to fall for me...at the time it feels like i want to be with them but then I lose interest? This is what I want, a single stable relationship thats supportive and makes me a better person, someone I can trust and spend the rest of my life with someone I am attracted to inside and out,a person I am proud to call mine. How?

Tried this in the languages forum and got nothing as it is admittedly obscure. I am trying to figure out what the references in the entries in Du Cange's Glossarium correspond to. For instance, after a definition, I see "Lit. remiss. ann. 1352, in Reg. 81. Chartoph reg. ch. 507:" from which follows a passage in which the word I am looking up is used. I get that it comes from a register from 1352, but I can't find a legend that will point me to the source of the quote. If anyone could tell me what to do or where to find more information either in Du Cange or in some other book or article I would greatly appreciate it.

I was on IE and a security thing popped up and told me that someone from a remote location was trying to get on IE. i told it to never allow this. After that, i was blocked from IE and i cannot get back on it. im still connected through firefox, but i like ie better.

I'm going to build a pc for an old friend of my dad. All he really uses the computer for is online banking, browsing the internet, and some basic computing functions. He doesn't really need a high end pc. My goal is to build him a very reliable pc for as little as possible. The OS I'll be putting on it is Windows XP Pro so I don't have to buy a new OS.

It looks like I can get a 1.86ghz Intel Core 2 Duo for a little under $200 or I can get a 3ghz Intel Pentium 4 for about $75. Which of these would be the better choice for basic computing? Will the dual core processor be needed or should I go with a high end Pentium 4? Will any other CPU better fit the bill? I'd prefer to stick with Intel.

My bf of 4 years and i broke up. We had a fight and he told me to leave, in a very rude and hurtful way. I didn't do anything bad to him, i feel he was just looking for an excuse to throw me out. He had been making unsensitive comments, like he didn't care if i was with him or not, that i was wasting his time, that he didn't have a reason to love me, he called me names. When i wanted to talk about how he was making me feel he ignored me. We have had a lot of fights, and after he would tell me he didn't mean all the nasty things, that he said them because he was hurt. That made me go after him every time this would happen. I didn't want to lose him over a stupid fight. Even if it wasn't my fault. But now i think he really wants to get rid of me. I think he's just bored with me. I haven't done anything for him to hate me so much,or to 'deserve' to be treated badly. It kills me to leave things like this, should i try to talk to him? what should i say?
