If Adrian Peterson can avoid injury, he could be the top rookie. Running backs seem to find the most success the quickest among rookies, and the Browns (most likely the team to take him) do not have a terrible O-line to begin with like most teams at the top of the draft order (center is solid with Bentley/Fraley and signing of Steinbach really helps). If Peterson can avoid any major injuries, he should be able to produce enough to win rookie of the year. Not to mention, could be a late round fantasy football consideration that most people miss just cuz it's the Browns.

I think Branch will be a great NFL player, but i think that calvin johnson will end up being the rookie of the year. He just has so much size and talent. A 6'5 receiver that can run a 4.35 40 is just insane. How can anybody even stop him?

it will be tough to find someone who is a better candidate than
Calvin Johnson. he was a great college play on a Georgia tech team that really didn't throw the ball well at all. he has skills
comparable to Larry Fitzgerald, only faster. he is big and will
dominate many corners in the NFL. he will be a great newcomer
but a lot depends on where he plays, course.

If the Raiders were smart they'd go for something they need. A QB, so go for Jamarcus Russel. Best QB in college. He is big but light on his feet and has the best arm, able to throw it 55 yards sitting down!! Name someone else that can do that. He should definatly be a starter this year.

I like Calvin Johnson as the most ready for immediate impact. I wouldn't overlook Adrian Peterson, though. I don't know enough about some of the linemen to comment, but usually offense gets all the attention when it comes to discussions/awards like this.

Calvin Johnson because of his size and speed combo. He runs like a high 4.3 or low 4.4 and he has good size so he will be a tough cover in the nfl.

Jamaal Anderson... defensively... he is big and was the best lineman in SEC this year... Offensively, it depends on who gets drafted where.. Troy Smity will be the best offensively, the next DNabb
