Ok, my car broke down a few weeks ago and it's determined to be unfixable. My husband was completely fine driving his car every day (which is an older model car) mine was a 97 cavalier. Neither car was the best, but we were both content.
Now we have to buy a new car. NOW he's saying it's only fair if he gets to take the car to work half the week and I take it the other half. He drives 30 miles to work every day and I drive 10 to work, but I have our kids with me and need to drop them off at sitters, pick up from school, etc.
He never ever wanted to take my cavalier and was totally fine driving his car to work every day without a problem. Now just cuz we get a new car (cuz my primary one broke down) he feels he wants to basically take ownership of the new one and determine who gets to drive it, and when.
He wants to be the decision maker on what car we buy. He gets mad cuz I want a bigger car such as a van or SUV cuz it would be easier with the kids, he wants a taurus.

My Maid of honor and aunt are throwing my soon to be husband and I a couples shower instead of a traditional bridal shower. We were just curious, what kinds of gifts do people bring to a couples shower? Is it the same as the wedding gifts? Does this mean that we will be getting two different gifts from people or does this mean we will only get gifts at the shower and not the wedding?

Instead of paying per payheck, you could take the money out of your paycheck yourself and then put the money in an interest bearing account. When it comes time to pay, you just pay out of that account on April 15. At least you'd have made interest on the money instead of having the IRS take it out each paycheck. For some reason, the IRS forbids this. Wouldn't it be better to let us invest the money instead of giving the Gov't an interest free loan?

Hi All,

Im trying to find a product that expands on contact with water/liquid....must be a non food item. Something like expanding foam that comes as a small pellet but when it comes into contact with water, it expands to a much bigger solid size....any ideas anyone?

I am 54 years old and my wife died when she was 51 years old. She loved me so much. I did not have any feelings for her. We have been together for at least 30+ years. I never had children with her but I did started having sex with her since I was 28 years old. She died from an accident. I didn't kill her. I told her "I love you" countless times. My feelings for her weren't that deep. If I left her, I wouldn't have anymore sex and she'd be heartbroken and I would start paying for child support if she did got pregnant. I never fell in love with her. If I did fell in love with her, I know I would be very sad right now, but good thing I didn't fell in love with her. I can imagine myself leaving her and not being sad. I don't feel bad at all for her death. I had to pretend to be crying on her funeral to let her family think that I was sad. To be honest, I am not sad. Before she died, she said, "I am very happy to have met you in my life." When she was alive, I treated her like a queen.

My company was acquired by another company in 2006. As part of the acquisition, I received payments for stock I owned. I was expecting to see some sort of 1099 form which would show the income from the stock purchase. I took a loss on this, so I want to be able to report this income, along with the loss, on my taxes. I thought the deadline for mailing out 1099s was Feb. 28- is this right? Also, is the company required to provide me a 1099 for the stock sale? If they do not, how do I report this income/loss on my taxes?
