and it is not a peaceful book. It's history is not peaceful.
When i read it, it revealed to me a few things..
muhammeds life was not during a peaceful time.
It seems to me he lived almost a military life, which is why there
is so much reference to violence and hate of non-muslim, and his views of jihad is so twisted.
If i was a devout and dedicated muslim, following the footsteps of my prophet, would my views of islam and the rest of the world be the same as that of muhammed.
PS: this sentence really caught my attention: "and the stone said, behold oh muslim, there is a jew hinding behind me..."
that quote is not exactly right, but more or less.
If i was an extremist, am i not just following my prophets views and teachings(since the koran was written in a time of mental and physical warefare)?

ok I don't need opinions on the situation just the question....if my ex dumped me but not for anything I did....and he said he still likes me he just needed some space for awhile. Well I havent seen him in awhile but he's visiting this weekend...what should I do so that I'm not too pushy, desperate, but that he will realize that he wants to date again? I've been on two dates with this girl and we had a great time both nights. Nothing happened between us, but I think my gentlemanly manners gave her the assumption that I was more interested than I really am. She's totally a cool girl but I am not physically attracted to her.

What should I do? It's not like I can dump her... we're not even going out. But I don't want to dis her by not returning her calls/texts. Any ideas?

My daughter and I just finished having a heated conversation about love. She doesn't believe true love exist. Even though I have not experienced it, I still have hope, at least for right now, slightly. LOL!! I just have to believe that it does exist.

My daughter, on the other hand, believes that I am living in a fairy tale. Isn't that sad! She's only 16 years old and has not witnessed one couple truly being in love.

Any comments out there? Any words of encouragement?
