Unfortunately, it's because some people are so insecure about their conditions that they go out to look to blame someone else for their own situations. It seems they direct their hatred and mistrust towards groups of people rather than individuals. It's like Hitler blaming the European Jews for conditions in his life and in Germany. He went so far as to blame Jews for Germany's loss in WWI and for their economic hardships. The same form of hatreds go to any groups that someone would consider easy targets. They look at themselves as some kind of a crusader, when in fact, they are nothing but hate-filled cowards. Hatred and division will never end so all we do is to travel or go out in public in groups and not alone, especially in vulernable areas.

Hate groups may be increasing, because what they fear is increasing the most. They fear, and they are cowards who are afraid to see somebody different.

With kicking God out of everything, and morality going down the toilet... the demons are taking over now - and winning!
What did you expect?
(And hate isn't the only bad thing happening out there! Look around... look at crimes of every kind increasing!
(Hey, it's "no" coincidence!)

Because people are afraid and people dont understand so when that happend people generaly get paranoid and rally against it. Also isms and other such things where you clasify a group by a few of their numbers actions generally are wide spred now.

I wouldn't say they're increasing. I would say it is getting easier and easier for people to communicate on a global scale and gain a 'level of support' not previously known.

people are becoming more apathetic, not caring about things unless they directly relate to them
overall, society has internet and mass media to use as their messenger, getting out to more people at a quicker rate than ever before
