If you believe that the died anointed, are now alive and active in heaven, how dose this fit with Rev 6:9, which states that they will be at rest until their number is full?
And 1 Thessalonians 4:16 which implies that the anointed who die will be resurrected but will not be introduced to Jesus until a later date, when they together with those who have survived will finally meet the Lord all together at once.
Because Paul speaks here of Jesus descending from heaven and them meeting him in the air and not in heaven I can only conclude from the way this passage is worded, that the anointed are resurrected back on earth once their full number has been reached.
In fact if you look at the first few words of Thiss 4:13 you’ll find that the first century Christians were under the impression that if you had died before Jesus’ arrival, you were in a sad situation most likely because you would not be there to meet Jesus on he’s return but Paul assures us thay will not miss out.John 21:23
