There are two members in Yahoo Answers who have posted the exact same Two questions 54 times in the last two weeks.

Is there anything that can be done about them?

I think the definition of "troll" is vague in the TOS. I think if those questions are insulting to you in any way, you can report them as abuse. There is a choice for repeated postings.

I didn't use to report, because I believe in free speech. But I have seen too many conservatives knocked off this board for less than the Liberals post daily. And I blamed Yahoo, but now I blame us. If we don't report it, Yahoo doesn't know about it.

And if you are thinking of the same user(s) I am thinking of, they are also point-gaming, which needs to be reported.

There was a troll who was on the News Message boards and he came here for about 2 weeks after they shut the boards down. People ignored him, because he was posting some ridiculous stuff. Anyway, they ignored him and he disappeared.

I don't know...what about those who post the same long, long answers? (To whatever question is asked....) Or the ones who try to seduce you on to Treasure Trooper or other schemes??

Personally, I'd rather have a little "rough" stuff in the Politics area (not vulgarity or filth, but a little name-calling, etc.) than to have to read, "Do you like/hate Pres. Bush?" one more time!!

Well, you can always ignore their questions...

I prefer self censorship to any other form. Yahoo usually has an ignore feature on its message boards that works fairly well, they might get around to putting one here.

As far as everyone else is concerned though, they should be allowed to make up their own minds on whether they want to see those questions or not.

don't respond

they are trolling for responses

they'll quit if they don't get any

I don't believe you should report them, I hate that reporting is a part of this forum, they'll just report you and get your questions and responses removed - it only takes 1 report to remove something and yahoo doesn't care what the motivation or reasoning is, if something is reported its removed

Let it be.. people are to conern about trolls, spam and political correctness... Let it be an open forum.. If you don't like the question, don't answer it. Too much time spent on reporting abuse and other horse$hit.

Repetition is normally linked to a very limited information base....Look at the source, laugh ,and move on
