Im only asking because last year he was really good at Daytona and it looked like he was struggling to stay in 20th or better at the 07 Daytona . He would most of the time usually qaulify in a top ten position also last year. I hope he does better at california.

If you've been paying attention it seems like the guy that is the champion of the previous year they don't do well the next year. Look at Stewart, Kurt Busch they didn't do well the next year. I know that it is still early but Johnson can't win every race. He'd get a bigger head than he already has.

It is very early in the season yet.He will be a top contender this year in the chase.Do not get me wrong, I would love to see him have a poor year because I do not like him but he does keep things interesting.

Jimmie always says that he never qualifies good and when he does he is so happy about it. He was wrecked at Daytona and that was not his fault. He was just in the wrong spot at the wrong time.

relax, he'll be fine...he got wrecked at daytona and so what if you qualify poorly, you always have a chance to move up once the race begins...its one race and one qualifying session calm down

he just broke up with his girlfriend last week and they bought all of this stuff together..hes been going to court and talking with his lawyer over who gets what...hes going thruogha stressful time...but it will be better in a couple of weeks when everything is sorted out. so don't worry

i wouldnt worry about his starting position too much. its a 500 mile race, and i'm sure he will be running near the front by the end.
