Some cats are playful and some just have a character of "leave me alone". It is normal. Is not that they don't wnat to play, is because they have a different character than other cats. Not all cats like to play. I have two cats. One that likes to play alot and the other just wants to sleep. That's totally normal.

Cats are not like dogs. They are super independent and can be quite lazy at times. You are basically working around their time schedules. If he is old, he may not want to play anymore. If he is overweight, he may not have the energy to play. Have you tried giving him cat nip? That may spark some interest. Cat nip does not work on all cats though. Your nearest pet store will have toys that usually work. From experience, my cats love the sticks with feathers on the end. I usually slide it across the floor quickly and they think it is the best invention ever. Toy fishing poles with a toy mouse tied to the end is also a fun thing. My cats are also obsessed with hair ties, and the plastic part that you pull off of a gallon container of milk. You will just have to try stuff out and just tease the cat with the objects. He probably will do nothing if you just set it on the floor. It may work out, but you are going to have to try hard. Good Luck!!!

How old is the cat and how long have you had it? If you've had it a long time it might be lazy, but cats are temperamental and do what they like. Cats are pretty complex creatures, so don't worry unless the cat exhibits symptoms of illness. Best regards to kitty.

How old is your cat? As they get older, they play less and lay around more. My cat is now 12 and rarely plays at all anymore. He is usually found laying by the fireplace, or laying near a window.

My cat is getting older and she is the same way. She either wants food, cat snacks or her litter box cleaned. Other than that, she just lies around and comes to get her ears and chin rubbed but she's still a doll baby :)

My kitty plays all day, and she makes me feel guilty when I don't play with her. She looks at me with those big lonely eyes...she has sooooo many toys, but her favoite toy? MY Hand....covered in bite marks...cuz she likes to play bite. I am sure your kitty just sleeps a lot. I wish mine would sleep a little more.

It may just be your cat's personality.
My parents have two cats who are brothers, and they are very different in personality.
Willy is very quiet and keeps to himself, while Tigger is with you all the time.

attempt a distinctive sort or flavor of moist nutrition. Scratching around the bowl would be a demonstration of displeasure with nutrition - the association with nasty-tasting meds would be too solid with that kind. don't be concerned approximately it too lots if he comes to a decision he would not like moist nutrition. My lady cat has lots a similar reaction - i attempted to grant her pills in some moist nutrition as quickly as whilst she replace into youthful and now she refuses to even attempt all sorts of moist nutrition (and each physique nutrition too! i assume that's a superb subject interior the tip). according to danger a distinctive sort will scent distinctive sufficient to conquer his association with the meds. in case you will prefer to grant your kitten in basic terms a splash a manage, you are able to soak one in each and every of his nutrients of dry nutrition in in basic terms a splash heat water to help him get sufficient water in his device, do exactly not permit it take a seat out and get soggy. :)
