why do most people say that teenagers and pre-teens cant keep a bf/gf for more then a few weeks?? im only 13 and i've been with my current bf for about 5 months and i was with my ex bf for 6 and a half months.....so why does everybody make it sound like kids around my age can only keep a bf/gf for about a week or 2??

People say that because as a whole it's generally true, most dating in jr high, and even highschool is not long term. This being said it's certanily not a rule. my brother is 39, and has 7 childrent with the woman he met when he was 12.
Don't worry about what other people think, if you meet someone your with for 6 months or your whole life, good for you, enjoy it.

Because it is true. And thats the way it is supposed to be. You should meet as many people as you can to understand what you would be looking for in a future husband. That doesn't mean sleeping around either. Just finding your way and your place in this world. Getting to no what you like in a relationship. Maybe some day you will meet the one special man for you. I sure hope so......
