Australia. Australia has a settled Batting line-up with Gilchrist opening the batting, to be followed by good batsman like Ricky Ponting, Clarke etc. Australian's have the ability to rise to the occassion and deliver, unlike the overhyped Indians, who seem to flatter to decisive very often in crunch games. Australia's fielding is flawless, so is their bowling. Injury to key Bowler, Bret Lee and all-rounder Andrew Symonds wll not make much of a difference. Australians almost invariably find a player who raises his game according to the situation. This has happened in their World Cup, 2003 Match v/s England wherein a relatively unknown player Andrew Bichel tilted the scales in favourof Australia. Again, in the Champions Trophy, 2006 Final when Chris Gayle of West Indies was on a roll, it was a less fancied Bracken who dismissed Gayle. So, I am backing Australian Cricket Team to lift the World Cup in 2007.

Since cricket is a game of uncertainties as has been proved on number of occasions, nothing can be predicted for sure about the final result of the World Cup.
Even considering the current form of teams, winner of the World Cup cannot be predicted as the final outcome will depend upon the performance during the world cup and not the current form.
As it stands now all the top 8 teams stand a chance to win the world cup. Whichever team plays to their potential consistently during the world cup will be the ultimate winners of the world cup

The West Indies : look at team : Chanderpaul, Sarwan, Gayle, Lara...come on, we gotta shine...as long as these guys perform we just need a lil push from our bowlers and we're good for the title.

I think South Africa or New Zeeland will won the world cup,
becoz all the players of both the team are in good form,
& their batsman & bowlers are doing good performance
& also fielders.
so they are elgible to won the world cup.
