All of the Abrahamic religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam) have the implied assumption that the universe is platonic dualistic as opposed to monistic.

However, modern science doesn't seem to take the 'soul hypothesis' very seriously and works with the model that ALL mental activity is merely a very complex electro-chemical reaction taking place in a physical brain.

Has anybody ever, say, captured a free-floating soul in a bottle? Ever photograph an angel or demon?

Stop insulting US Intelligence by saying they are too incompetent to prevent a terrorist ambush within our country!!! I am an african american woman who gets treated very badly by people of my own race. I can't go out anywhere without black people treating me with disrespect. Black people treat me poorly because they don't like the way that I look. They say that I am ugly and that I look mean. I am a very nice per If I do look mean its not purposely. Even when I do smile and try to be nice them to show them that I am actually a nice person it doesn't help. They just can't get pass the way that I look. Strangely, I don't deal with this from white people. White people are always nice to me. They are very helpful to you when you need, very polite, and they treat you with respect. White men are more curtious and respectful to women than black men are. White men open the doors for you unlike a black man who will only open the door for a woman who he feels is attractive. It really upsets me to see a dog chained up and never get to go inside. My dog has the run of the house and even though we have to tether her when she is outside the tether is much longer than most people use. We also don't leave her outside if she wants in or if we are away.

well am a student very fond of computers and internet but not very fond of the technical aspects of it...

my problem is despite of having a PC and printer at home i have to rush to computer parlours to prepare any project reports,powerpoint presentations or other assignments....

i have to pay money for what i could do for free at home just b'coz of my vulnerability in MS office usage..

general usage of MS Word is fine for me...but when it comes to fine tunning the stuff i prepare i start cramping...

Inserting of tables at right places,proper spacing and formatting are a few areas i find hard dealing with..... same is the case while preparing powerpoint presentations or using MS Excel for graphs etc..

I hope i am clear with my question and i would sincerely appreciate if someone can suggest me a way to get rid of this trouble.....

I posted this question earlier too...sorry for the repetition by i did'nt get any helpful answers last time......

i asked this same question in the singles and dating section
but i wanted to see if i got other answers here
because i know some people don't go to the other sections and usually stay in one lol

went to the movies with my "guy friend" [idk what we are considered] and my friend
so it was him, me, and her sitting in the theatre and about 3/4 of the way into the movie he wanted to "take a break from the movie" and he started to kiss me..so we started making out and then i turned my head away because i felt that i was being rude to my friend.

was i just being rude to her? or to him too? because i didn't really say anything to him about why i stopped and i just kinda left him hanging.
