When I was a younger teen I had a huge problem with my skin. I would have acne breakouts everyday. My acne is now gone but the black scars on my forehead and chin are still visible. I am very self-conscience about going out in public because of the dark skin pigments. Any suggestions on what medications or home remidies could help this problem? Thanks

I often see theists say that, deep down, non-believers who question religion are really just searching for the truth (the assumption being that the "truth" is total belief in Jesus/God/Allah/etc.)

But what makes you think this? In my situation, I was a complete and total Christian for the first 22 years of my life. I believed in ALL of it; the infallibility of the bible, the creation, the nativity, every miracle and decree of god.

But then I started asking questions. These questions begat more questions, until I finally came to the conclusion that the only way it made sense was to have blind faith, unsupported by any real evidence, and despite glaring contradiction and historical fabrications.

THAT was my search. I didn't have some tragedy that caused me to become angry at god. I didn't become discouraged and loose my faith. I merely made the conscious decision to abandon it when I felt it became untenable.

So would you still say that I'm searching for god?

i have noticed a woman I am working with keeps mimicking things i do. she is educated and in her late 20's. for examples

1 when I get a clean hair cut, within the next few days i see she has done her hair in ways I never seen her do before.

2 when i start to wear certain type of clothing (ie checkered) - i notice in the new few days she wears checkered clothing which i never seen her wear

3 i once told her unique people makes me tick, since then she will go out of her way to show me she does unique things (uses the microwave to heat her coffee when one hot water tap is broken, when one would usually use the other taps).

These actions led me to think perhaps she would like to talk - but when I do she tells me she she is busy and already has a partner. I'm not sure where the partner thing came from, but fair enough, i decide to leave her alone but she keeps greeting me and mimicking me and following me at work.

i'm a little confused by this persons actions.
