I'm well beyond needing to sign a contract, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how I can buy any phone I want - even if its not offered by t-mobile? I've heard you can, but I don't know the details. - I will mark a best answer.

thanks - but i think everyone is missing my intention - I don't want a new plan - I want to make sure the phone I buy will work with T-mobile. Like an iphone is just cingular, i didn't think it would work on the t-mobile network. so, how do i know if a phone will work on any network. -- thanks

its not that hard-you can buy a phone form any store with out a plan. but the only thing is that it will be more expensive, the only reason they want you to sign a contracts are because they will give you a cheaper deal on your new phone.
