Is it just me or is the state of originality and creativity in the United States seriously lacking? To much focus is being placed on remaking of old movies, music.. When was the last time a new Christmas Classic was created?

I don't listen to the radio anymore, its all advertising and commercial hip-pop..

The last refreshing song I heard was from Maroon-5 and the last couple of movies about magic, "The Prestige, and The Illusionist" were really well done..

I'm a pretty open guy and enjoy almost everything from opera to Opra.. So tell me, am I turning into my father? I think it would be interesting to do a generational study in perceptions of music and art, has this been done already?

I left an abusive marriage and my friends told me they would be there for me and no one has returned my calls. I prayed about money owed to me and I didn't get the check even though it really was mailed to me. God knows my financial needs and I feel that God must be angry at me and I'm being punished. I'm trying to do the best I can and it feels like it's never good enough. I feel sad and really alone. Does God turn a deaf ear to my prayers when I pour my heart out to Him and did He turn his face away from me? My preacher says that God does not hear our prayers if we have sin in our life.

That way, people with more money, who buy more stuff, pay more taxes? People who can't afford as much, who buy less stuff, pay less?

Not only that, but it would allow a +/- situation for luxury items, while food and other basic essentials would/could cost less.

I'm no economist, but people who make 100,000 bazillion a year need to give a little more. I heard a statistic that 90% of the US wealth is in 10% of the population..... Well, I feel that everyone has a right to make as much money as they want, just that they pay their fair share and not have fancy loopholes and exceptions to hide behind.

I also think that a more simple tax filing could be done to compensate for people who give to charities, etc... much like we do today. You could get a flat refund amount for a specific size donation, OR there could be a gift-matching system.

What do you think?

One of my gold fish, is suddenly being shy and hiding behind some of the ornaments. I also noticed that shes not eating as much(or at all). She is no excited anymore. I just am not sure what to do, if you have any answers please let me know!

I am getting power to the fuel pump through the wires but the fuel pump is still not kicking on, but when the pump is hooked up to a battery charger it works fine, I have checked the fuses, and the shut off switch, and those are fine.

my 2 1/2 year old has been extreemly needy and whiny and non stop going on and on with "mama mama mama mama " all day im loosing my mind. hes very over dramatic about everything, and very clingy. he does not play with his toys or entertains himself much when he is home. when he is in daycare he is fine but when he gets home it is all about him, and its becoming very hard to do things around the house without him at my ankels.

being an only child im sure he gets lonely without his daycare mates and i give him as much attention as i can, but i have things to do too and cannot give him around the clock attention. how can i get him interested in doing his own thing and break this mama's boy cling!!
