Upon being selected as a best answer, I was somewhat disappointed by the questioner's additional comments to my answer. While I definitely admire and appreciate his honesty in stating why he feels the way he does, it has prompted me to thinking.
Mostly everyone feels that a Christian's answers are too pat, too standardized, etc. etc. I believe the reason for that is because God is unchanging. The answers don't change because He doesn't, either. Unlike the things of the world which are constantly in a state of flux, God is constant. His laws are constant and so is His love. Most of us feel God has to change to meet societal demands, but that's just not so. If God changed all the time, how could we begin to trust or depend on Him? We couldn't.
Too simplistic? Your input, please.
