i want to publish something anonymously. i want a name that sounds real, so people dont know its a psudonym

Try looking in your local white pages. There are tons of choices there, and the names sound real because they are, LOL!

Use your middle name as a first name and pick out a really ethnic last name that is totally different from your origin i.e. if you have and Irish last name, pick out something Italian, Greek, Scandinavian, etc.

Take your Middle name and use that as a first name, then take the name of the street you grew up on and use it as your last name. It almost allways works
