Use a mask twice a week and exfoliate with a mild exfoliant in the morning. Use a hydrating, not too much perfume , moistureizer and drink a lot of water. When I am dry I use olive on my salad and seems to make my skin better.

Peeling skin is often from irritation, it can be from over exfoliating the skin or being too aggresive with the washcloth even. It also could be from a topical or oral medication. The best advice would be to "rest" your skin and give it time to heal, use gentle face products that are fragrance free and non stripping for your face. Try a milk or cream cleanser, avoid cleansers with AHAs or salicylic acid in them (these chemically exfoliate the face and are water loving, therefore contribute to dry skin). Make sure that your facewash isn't foaming (more foam = more detergents = equals more stripping of the oils), wash with tepid water, not hot, and apply moisturizer while skin is slightly damp. Moisturizers do not hydrate the skin on their own, they are a barrier that hold the water in and that is how they work. If it doesn't clear up, then see your physician.

The best thing that you can do is to get a facial. If you cannot afford one, get a pumice like stone and gently scrub your face and wash it with an abrasive soap such as ST. IVES or something that has an abrasive material in the soap. Once that is done, put face lotion on your face, I recommend CLEAN and CLEAR face lotion, it helps prevent breakouts. Do this for a couple of days or so and you should be fine. Be careful not to be too rough when washing your face with the abrasive soap. Good Luck

Mosturizer!!! I get the dry face skin alot because I use alot of acne products, I peel off what I can and then mosturize the crap out of it, also try a facial peel, it will pull the dead skin off after it drys. It's like a facial mask, but when it dries you pull it off, I can't remeber the name of it, but you can find it at Wal-mart with the basic brands of facial masks.

Try using Lubriderm lotion. My skin peels terribly in the summer from sunburns and the winter from dry skin. I lather it on at night and it really helps. Good luck!

It sounds like you need a good exfoliating scrub to get rid of all the dead cells on the surface of your skin as well as a good moisturizer. Try L'Bri Pure n' Natural's exfoliating scrub and Intense Moisture cream. It's aloe based and does amazing things for your skin. Check it out at suenelson.lbri.com.

What I did was I went out and bought some Biore pore cleaning strips, and even though they are for cleaning pores, they also tear off the dead skin. After you remove the dead skin keep using lotion and moisturizer, it will keep your face moisturized after all of the dead skin is removed. Best of luck! :-)

First, put a hot, wet wash cloth over your face for three minutes. Then wash your skin, twice daily with hot water. After that apply a face moisturizer while your skin is still damp. After that, wash your face with very cold water. Do that twice daily. You can also use a mild scrub 3x a week.

Have you tried exfoliating? I exfoliate everyday with Noxema Citrus Scrub. It is not harsh at all and it keeps my skin as smooth as a baby's bottom. Best of luck.
