My mom is crying a lot... I can't believe this, he was a few months older than me he was 18... I don't know what's wrong in the world why is this happening??!!

sorry to hear that .........to be so young that's just tragic....but not to be cold but death is the only thing that is guaranteed to happen to all of us ,whether your rich or poor ,young or old,black,pink or white ,there is no place to hide,..but i agree for one so young its just plain wrong.......

I am sorry for your loss. All you can do is grieve, your mother's grief is possibly depression. Your grief is possibly fear. There are 7 stages of grief; denial, anger, acceptance, depression, fear, guilt, and shock, there is no particular order or time frame that anyone goes through each of them. The best thing you can do is talk with people that know the situation in more detail. This forum is not a good place. For one thing it's hard to say why something is happening when I don't know what happened. Hit by a car, and died while his home was being burglarized are very different scenarios. aww hun that is awful!! .My neighbour (also friend) died on his birthday- fell off a 4 story belcony. It was really hard to get over, everybody seemed to avoid the subject for a long time.
Be willing to talk about it. If you want to cry then cry! I know the family would appreciate it if you make some food and took it over (maybe something that is freezer safe).

For everthing there is a season,and through all the pain there is a reason.God keeps us close by the pain we know.For every tear you cry there's a reason why,it will make you wise some day.Always know that god will never give you more than you can take.
I know how it feels to lose a loved one and it hurts deeply.But life goes on and that person is no longer in pain.

People have gone mad...they don't respect anyone. Maybe you could write down how you are feeling or talk to someone at school? Sending flowers or a card with thoughtful words to the family might help.
