At the grocery store you pick up a can of beef broth and a can of chunky beef stew. The cans are identical in diameter and weight. Rolling both of them down the aisle with the same initial speed, you notice that the can of chunky stew rolls much farther than the can of broth. Why?

I really like this guy even falling for him when were together it's for real i've never felt this way about anyone so fast. I just feel i want him more than he wants me, he's single and has every right to be with other girls but i've put my feelings out there and he says he cares about me but it's obviously not enough to make him be with me. It hurts and bothers me because up until the day he approached me i was fine, now he got my head spinning and i just either want him to come to me or to forget him what should i do. and if it's to forget him and let him go how do i do it?

What does it say about mankind that we are still grapling with exactly the same kinds of issues...?

...as we did 2000 years ago?

People still refer to Plato, Aristotle, and such who cite political, social, and economic problems they had which we also still have.

In fact, I don't think mankind has 'solved' a single socio-economic problem (not even slavey which still exists, 2000 years later!) in the world while technology (as it is independent of human nature) continues to be man's most valuable tool.

I have been experiencing many symptoms of pain since summer 2006 (widespread chronic pain, soft tissue pain, tenderness, fatigue, weakness, achiness, soreness, trouble sleeping, concentration problems, brain fog migraines, and muscle spasms). I already have cerebral palsy on my left side, and epilepsy. A friend with fibromyalgia suggested that I see a doctor because she suspects I also have fibromyalgia. When I did see the doctor, she prescribed me Cymbalta, had my blood taken, and told me it was "non-specific widespread chronic pain". She was reluctant to say anything about fibro because "it could be anything." The blood tests are perfectly fine. The Cymbalta helps somewhat. My friend still feels that it couldn't be anything else. My gut instinct, my intuition, also says it is fibro. But I don't want to seem hypochondriac, especially since I have several other diagnosed disorders. I am just concerned that the doctor will continue to be reluctant to diagnose.
