Depends on which medications you took. Could be a result of either. Need more information!

If it's caffeine that is affecting you, you feel wide alert and the heart paces especially if you are not a regular consumer of drinks or food with caffeine. On the other hand, medication that makes your heart race is likely to make your body feel very uncomfortable with rapid palpitation. You could feel sick, anguish, nausea and agitated , a combination of lousy feeling. You could check with your doctor over the phone on the side effects of the medicine prescribed for you for clarity.

Could be both. I think it depends on what medication you're taking and the kind of food you're eating in conjuction with one another. But I'm pretty sure caffeine could be a cause. I'd check with a doctor though-better safe than sorry.

Can be both, what did you take, how old are you which medication, did you use and what gender are you...and how much caffeine did you take, how fast is your heart beat per minut...more ifo please
