I have a friend who does this. Like, she ignores her body's needs. She never drinks water, or anything at all.. and barely eats. She doesn't have obsession with weight though. Is this a form of self-injury? I want to look it up so I know how to help her.

I'm reading "Parallel Worlds" by Michio Kaku. Fascinating stuff, but he often compares the beliefs of mystics and scientists, which makes me wonder if there are any books as entertaining and enlightening as "Parallel Worlds", except from the perspective of mystical beliefs rather than cosmology. Thanks for any suggestions!

My man has gone to see the therapy for one year. He just talks to the therapy about things. I don't understand why??? Why do people continue to go to see the therapy? Do you think that he has a lot of problems. I am afraid to ask him. One more question,what does mental therapy mean? Thank you.

I just recently did some research and found out there's a little illegal activity going on where i work. Here's what it is. The assistant manager here is drawing her social security now, and is aloud to work 2.5 days a week, without having to report her wages to the Social Security. Well, She is on the schedule for 3.5 days a week now, but here's the catch. On her third day of work in a week, she's using her daughters time card to punch in and out, so she doesn't have to report her wages to the social security. . . Here's the question. . . . Should i report it, or should i not? . . The catch is, if i don't, and something gets said later on, i could get in trouble for abedding illegal activity, but if i do say something i'm afraid they'll fire me.

I am tired...and I mean TIRED when I try to get up in the morning.

I usually can't get to sleep until about 1-2 in the morning and I have to be up at 6:30....

I CAN NOT fall alseep...I have tried sleeping pills...beer....vodka...Jim Beam..more sleeping pills...but not all at the same time...Obviously I am still here...

Once I am up in the morning I am ok...I do get tired during the day but drink a cup of coffee and I am ok...I never frink coffee after noonish...rarely even that late.

It's like at 10:00 I get a second wind...UGH....I wish I was tired!

i recently built a new system and i am pretty sure the cpu is overheating. i installed speedfan which shows me the temp of the cpu, and when running cpu intensive programs, the cpu temp will get up to about 70 degrees C and then the computer auto shuts off. the fan seems to be working fine and i put thermal paste on it when i put the heatsink on. i have installed lots of computers before and never seen this problem.
any ideas?

So last night I had my first panic attack. It was terrifying. I was shaking for a good two hours afterward. It basically came from too much coffee & drinking three beers a few hours later. Anyway, it's 24 hours later and I'm still anxious. I wasn't too bad in the first half of the day, but then I started getting anxious four or five hours ago and have been unable to relax. I think I've been traumatized. I have no medical insurance so I can't get something like Xanax (not sure how much it costs without?). Any recommendations on how I can get over this?

When people find out that I am bipolar, they treat me different. For example, I used to go to Timberview Middle School. I wanted a fresh start so I didn't say anything to my teachers. Then when I had an outburst, ( this is hard to talk about, I'm embarrassed. ) I had to say something. So she would understand. Then it spread to all the teachers. When I went to High Trails, ( a school week long camping trip ) one of them told the tour guide. I heard her whipsper to her and point to me. The tour guide looked at me funny and treated me like a baby the rest of the hike. I get teased all the time. Is it because they just don't understand it? Or because I'm a freak...
