Amazing how many white people are telling you you're/he's being sensitive. No wonder racism is still rampant - too many ignorant f*cks all over the place, even here.

If he ignores the comment he might as well condone it. It's ugly speech and it has no business anywhere. The vocal racists broadcast their hate, but the silent ones, like those advising you, enable it,and move it forward.

Best thing to do is tell him, in no uncertain terms and unconditionally, that that speech is offensive and to refrain from using it. Do not qualify by saying "I" find it offensive or don't use it "here". It is offensive, and should be to everyone; and it should not be said at work, home, anywhere.

As you can tell from your responses, many closet racists will never understand the capacity of hate speech to harm. You will never change everyone, but as long as you speak up you'll at least give these racists a moment to pause, to consider the hate they're about to spew.

That's so unfortunate people still say those things. That comment really shows the white guys ignorance. I suggest your boyfriend talk with this guy and ask him a few questions, like:

What does N**** rigged mean exactly?
Do you realize what you said is racist and could be reported?

Based on his answers, your man has 3 choices. Educate him, report him, or ignore him. Personally, I would educate him.

Good luck

you ought to have both. you would possibly want to slather your self with the unique Reddi-wip and then get a sturdy, sturdy spanking with the leather bull whip because it splatters the Reddi-wip round in an ornamental fashion.

If it's a recurring thing, he should say something if it bothers him. If it was a one time deal, get over it. You can't get in bunch everytime you hear something offensive.

I'm sure he didn't mean anything by it, but needs to be reminded of his faux pax. I am of Japanese descent and one day when I was with my mentor teacher he said on the phone while I was sitting right there "Yeah, but she Japped out on me" I was more shocked than offended.

Recommend to him that he change his terminology to 'Jerry Rigged'. Might keep him from offending others in this PC world we live in

Stop being so dam* sensitive. It's really tiring when people have to walk around eggshells just because everyone else is so dam* sensitive. Grow up. Ever heard of "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me???"

He should say something like, "Hey dude, that's not cool." Usually that's all that's necessary.

I would say beat the **** out of him, but thats not the "adult" thing to do, and he will prolly lose his job over it, so i would say, try to talk to this man(dont really see that working, he seems to be an a**ho*e) and if talking to him don't work, report him.
