He says he has been depressed for a very long time. He says he feels empty inside and like he is not good for anything. I have talked to him all morning, right now he is asleep. My stepdad has high blood pressure and is diabetic(injects himself before every meal). He has been told not to drink or smoke, he has at least 12 beers and a box of cigarettes everyday. My mom didn’t used to be a keen drinker, but every night he buys her a bottle of wine and she finishes it, then she moves onto anything alcoholic in the house. Besides setting a bad example for my 16 year old brother, I’m worried about her, when I try to talk to her about her drinking, she gets very snappy and says she drinks because she is stressed(my mother is a housewife and has not worked for approximately 10 years, we have a maid who does all the cleaning, washing and ironing, so I don’t believe the stress story). How can I get them to see what they are doing to themselves? What happened to my mom? She was motivated, she used to do stuff, she had friends, she used to belong to a book club, but now, all she talks about is getting “rid” of my brother and I so that they can be alone and carefree. kind
doesn't drink or do drugs (will have a social drink)
isn't interested in physical relationship w/me
wont discuss marriage (we are 29)
keeps putting our relocation off (i moved to his tiny hometown and i don't like it at all..too clicky, too expensive, nothing to do)

I have tried living in his town for a long time, tried rekindling the physical intimicy and it hasn't worked. we seem like roomates.

I was just offered a job about an hour and a half away and accepted it. I have been looking the past 6 mos. I have mentioned this before and he just says "you won't go" and for a week sems attentive. Until now I haven't acted on anything.
Now he is being nice & caring & says I'm making a big mistake leaving. I said we could try long distance dating.

Is this relationship over?

I was wondering if I connect my laptop to my HDTV, with a DVI to HDMI cable, would HDTV video files on my laptop actually play in HD quality on the LCD?

And is it just a matter of connecting the two up, or is there more to it.

I know these files are HD, and I view them on the laptop at the moment in normal quality, just I wanted to enjoy them fully...

Also does anyone know if Sony have a 26" model with 2 HDMI inputs - so I don't have to buy a splitter. Someone mentioned in a previous question that the new range have 2 HDMI ports but I couldn't find a 26" with 2!

I am starting to do more lap swimming but unfortunately the pool I swim at is not heated. Can anyone recommend what to wear in the pool to keep warm? I'm a pretty thin guy. Are wetsuits or "Fastskin Hi-Neck Bodyskin" by Speedo more appropriate? Which is better for lap swimming and will provide me with flexibility and warmth. Any other clothing suggestions?

I saw a poll on here recently about who is the better singer: Carrie Underwood or Kelly Clarkson. I'm sorry, is there a comparison here? All Kelly Clarkson does is scream her way through her songs and often screws up the words...she sounds like crap. The Nascar pre race with her sucked! All she did was yell and distort her voice.....this girl has gone downhill. She used to have such a great voice and wholesome image. She is starting to remind me of Courtney love.....

Not to mention, I don't mind heavier people, but don't squeeze your big a$$ into a skin tight outfit and shake your mammoth hips around the stage.

What do you guys think....and save the jealousy comments. I don't see anything to be jealous of. I can go out into the street and yell until my voice cracks, too.

So why do many of you condem the work of the witnesses if this is a command by Jesus?
