I was so excited that AMW has been updating these border stories, Its nice there is someone standing for justice that has alot of influence on what citizens think and gets the information out to the public. Through all of this I cant help but wonder if illegals will quit saying we are racist after Americans have stuck up for our border heros and demand justice for them. I pray there will be a happy ending soon for them.

How bad can things be when we start turning to TV shows for guidance in our judicial choices? Really, it shouldn't matter what John Welsh says one way or the other.
A police officer does not have the right to fire on a vehicle when the occupants do not pose a threat. If an officer is shooting at a vehicle simply for driving away (oh yeah, and "almost running over his foot") he is fully responsible for the consequences of his actions, whether it means that an unarmed occupant of the vehicle is injurder, a bystander is killed, or whatever. Judging just from your link there (and I have not heard anything else about this story) it sounds like he is deserving of a long jail sentence.

I have followed this story since it's beginning.
The two border patrol agents were in the process of apprehending a DRUG SMUGGLER with about 800 pounds of drugs in his vehicle. The DRUG SMUGGLER was an illegal alien.
In the process of the arrest the DRUG SMUGGLER scuffled with one of the border patrol officers and ran.
If it were a white, asian or black American citizen who was caught with 800 pounds of drugs in his vehicle and got into a physical scuffle with the arresting officer, got loose and ran, he would have been SHOT DEAD.
Why does anyone believe that any illegal alien, in the process of a FELONY is supposed to be treated different than any United States citizen, of any other ethnicity?
It is LUDICROUS that anyone thinks these border patrol officers did the wrong thing when they fired on a lowlife, scumbag, criminal DRUG SMUGGLER, who was resisting arrest and fleeing the scene of the arrest.
If the border patrol agent who fired at the DRUG SMUGGLER had killed him, this would have been just another day in the life of the border. Oh well, another scumbag trash smuggler dead. WHO CARES!
The fact is, the DRUG SMUGGLER was shot in the side, NOT the back, he was shot in exactly the place he would have been shot if he had turned to fire a weapon at the border agents, just as the border agents testified he had done.
The fact is the DRUG SMUGGLER is a relative of some American who works in the sheriffs department on this side of the border, and his mother contacted her relative here, and the DRUG SMUGGLERS version of the story was taken up by the corrupt prosecutors office, who granted the scumbag DRUG SMUGGLER immunity from prosecution, and paid to have the DRUG SMUGGLER brought across the border and housed here, to create a case against the two border patrol agents.
The prosecutors LIED, hid evidence against the DRUG SMUGGLER, and conducted one of the most corrupt cases I have ever seen in a court of law, which culminated in the prosecution of two good men, and the incarceration of those two HEROS for 11 and 12 years in federal prison. During which time one of the agents was brutally beaten.
Following the verdict, two of the jury members have come forward and stated that they believed the two border patrol agents to be innocent of the crime they were charged with and ultimately convicted of, but that the judge had forbidden the jury to come back without a unanimous verdict, and they were bullied into voting guilty.
This is a travesty of justice to the max.
And the DRUG SMUGGLER?
He was later caught again, smuggling, another load of drugs across the border.

You think this is bad, just wait till they stop the funding for more troops in Iraq and we have to back out of that.
Oh yes it will be the most fashionable thing yet, to have everybody flood in across that southern border.
Every second Arab will be an 'asylum' seeker and how could we deny them entry. . .

I think, with the border, and this border patrol thing, it's more conflict of interest. Bush wants open borders with Mexico...

I think the guys arrest was totally justified. You don't try stupid movie stunts like that in real life. What if he had accidently killed that woman would keeping a couple of illegal immigrants out of the country really justify becoming a murder.
