I need to learn a few phrases in Portuguese to surprise one of my friends with. Can someone translate? I don't want to use a translation program since they aren't usually right.

1) Hi, how are you today?
(also, some possible answers to this...ie:I'm fine, how are you?)

Well,I met Nick Sterling yesterday.I know a lot of you are probably like who's he but hes a guitarist hes 16 and he has really long hair.Anyways,I got to meet him yesterday.We had a great time.Played some X box,watched TV,ate pizza,took pictures.What a day.It was so fun.I know a lot a people don't but he has a CD out called Life Goes On its really cool.You should search him on google.You'll find out a lot about him.Hes awesome.But do you know who he is?
