16Be joyful always; 17pray continually; 18give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

Christian fellow believers, do these verses mean that Christians are literally to pray continually and literally be joyful always, or is it figurative, meaning whenever possible? I interpret these verses to mean keep a cheerful disposition and positive attitude, and devote all you do to God, not to literally pray continually, because deeds are indeed a form of prayer if devoted to God. Can someone with more Bible knowledge than me confirm if my guess is correct? (Better still, can someone with knowledge of ancient Greek and access to the ancient Greek texts explain the meaning in an etymological context?)

I don't use my machine barely at all. When I went to use it for the first time in a year the foot was gone. (knocked off? kids playing?) I found a foot and managed to attach it, but the needle is hitting into it with every switch. Did i install the foot wrong? is there a switch that I need to fiddle with? Or is something more seriously wrong?
Anyone with advice would be appreciated.

Do you look in the mirror and ask who am I?

I don't wear a santa hat and fake white beard in real life,
but I sit here in my cube and theres a photo of my son on the lap of santa, taken in November,

when I go home I am love to my son, he doesn't see a man in a red hat and white beard, a man in a chicago bears hat and a brown goatee, and he loves me.

I identify myself as father, husband, son, etc.

Many of you the same, mother, wife, husband, father, son daughter, cousin uncle aunt,

We come here and argue about the Bible and God and Evolution and this and that and the other thing,

Do you think we probably have more in common with one another then what appears to be a daily yahoo answers session of "If man came from blah blah blah".

One of the moms at basketball last week was telling me that she cut her hand really bad on a blender blade and used honey to help heal it. She heard it from someone else who grew up in a family of a dozen children and this is what their mother used because she couldnt be running to the doctor all the time with so many kids. She said it has to be unrefined honey. Has anyone tried this? How do know the difference between refined honey and unrefined?
I have 3 "busy" boys at home and this would probably come in great, it if works (not too graceful myself either- LOL)

I have been suffering from depression for years, I am getting treatment but I do keep having some relapses which cause me to miss work. I also have panic disorder and PTSD. I have been having a very difficult time, but I work hard, am getting treatment, my boss is aware, and has been nice with giving me time off when I need it so far. Could there be a point where she can fire me, or am I protected by a disability act?

I went to a lecture the other night to see Jaime Hernandez, one of the creators of Love and Rockets. After the lecture we went to see an exhibit of his work. And there's music blasting: X, Iggy, Pistols, Clash, etc. And I'm standing there thinking, 'Man, this music is so great. Haven't played it in a while, miss it. It's still so great.' It felt so good hearing it. I wandered around with a smile, humming along to some of the stuff. And then i think, 'Kids these days have no idea what real punk is...' And then it hits me... punk is my oldies!!! NOOOOOO!!!

My car failed it's MOT on the weekend, it needed about £300 more work sone on it after the service & MOT so I was putting it off until pay day next Friday. Wihtout MOT is my insurance completely invalid? If so I guess I'll personally have to pay for the damage but will I also be in trouble for driving without valid insurance?
