No just tell him I want Roses, and don't forget to say what color and how many.
Otherwise you will only get the bowling ball!

Roses SCHMOSES!
Most of my friend's are female's and we always talk about this about this time of year. I had a friend who was dating a guy for about 9 months and Valentine's Day rolled around. She was pissed because she didn't get Roses. He had left a teddy bear in her room when he left. She was livid! She finally got the courage to call and tell him that it was a poor excuse for a present and she couldn't believe it. He stopped by on his lunch hour, her of course thinking he had roses. He walked into the room and said "Guess you didn't notice the note did you?"
He had put an engagement ring in the bear and asked her to be his. As he walked out he said "better I knew how you really are now then to find out later!" She was mortified and he would not speak to her after that. My point being Men do not necessarily show their love the way that you want them to and does it really mean anything if you have to tell them what to get you.
Valentine's Day work's both way's. Believe me you ahve more leverage if you buy him one simple White rose.
Then the Flower importance will resinate with him whn you tell him the White rose represents how you feel about him. Whatever he get's you be sure to appreciative and remember that people can only show you they love the way that they know how. Not the way we think they should.
Good Luck!

If he doesn't show his love for me on a daily basis then I simply am not with him. External things are no part of it. Yes. It is nice to show others around us that he cares. And that I obviously care for him. But is not necessary. No . You are not wrong. If that makes you feel good then is what you need. I admit to times when I feel would be appropriate. Just not often. The old commercial with the guy who was a jerk fits well. You notice is never on Valentine's day. Lol. Just all days in between. Like I said. I never stick around for all those days.

Sure, you can give him some hints. Lol, sometimes they're so clueless with this type of thing. They don't always know what to shop for, what you like, or really, really want. Go ahead, Girl, give your man some hints! Good Luck!

No, actually it is usually necessary. As a matter of fact, you should just tell him to buy you some roses for V-Day, then there be no misunderstanding or hurt feelings, and you will get roses.

Of course not. Maybe he doesn't know what to give you, so by dropping him hints you are actually helping him out.
I'm not sure how his money situation is, but flower delivery can be VERY expensive. Maybe he can't afford it. Just something to keep in mind :)

No. Men are not always real creative, and sometimes they appreciate the little hints.

No, it's not wrong. Let him know how romantic you think receiving flowers is, and that it means a great deal to you.
