Idealism says there is a way things should be and there is a way things are. The end goal of the way things are is to be the way they should be, so there is some inherent teleology built into idealism.

Many atheists see a bright future of humanity dumping religion and embracing atheism, which will usher in a new dawn for humanity. This bright-future optimism is for some atheists the ideal, or the way things should be.

If atheism assumes some form of idealism, how can it dump idealism in other realms such as ethics? C.S. Lewis realzied this contradiction in mere Christianity when he denied the existence of God based on the evil in the world. He pointed that such things require some objective (ideal) moral standars for evaluating the world, and in his case a "Moral Law Giver" was neccessary to have objective standards.

There are two men called umpires who stay all out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out.

When both sides have been in and all the men have been out,

and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out,

My skin is looking worse and worse as the winter goes on. The area around the bridge of my nose and my cheeks are very blotchy and I can't seem to even it out. Are there any products that will help with this or any natural remedies for uneven skin tone? Any suggestions / tips would be great. Thanks!

Alright, here's the deal....

My friend is divorced and has two children. He and his ex do not have a custody agreement yet. His ex was in a bad car accident and had to be taken to the hospital. He wants to go and get his kids from her parents, who have no legal rights to the kids right now, but they wont simply give the kids to him because they have control issues and they are very stubborn. He doesnt have an attorny yet, and he wants to know what he should do... How can he get the kids without a lot of conflict?? He's contacted the sherriff's office and someone else about it, and they wont help him. Will it look bad in cort if he goes to get his kids?? Or will it look bad if he doesn't try to get them and take care of them while their mother is in the hospital???? I dont know what to tell him because I dont know about any of this stuff!!
I should note that her and her family have kept the kids from even talking to him for about two months. This is a nasty situation!

I just got a speeding ticket for going 131 km's in a 100 zone. (I am in canada). It's my first ticket ever in 6 years of driving and I am going to try to plead not guilty and not have to pay or at least get the ticket reduced if possible. Here are 2 things: I just quit smoking yesterday so I am totally not thinking clearly and also i was on my way back from a doctors appointment where I had a lump cut out of my leg. I am wondering do you think either of those would work as an excuse? I really do think that is why, I never speed and my brain was just all over the place thinking about these things. Comon quitting sux, someone should feel compasionatly right?! Any experiences, advice would be great. Please help me!!
