I just got a speeding ticket for going 131 km's in a 100 zone. (I am in canada). It's my first ticket ever in 6 years of driving and I am going to try to plead not guilty and not have to pay or at least get the ticket reduced if possible. Here are 2 things: I just quit smoking yesterday so I am totally not thinking clearly and also i was on my way back from a doctors appointment where I had a lump cut out of my leg. I am wondering do you think either of those would work as an excuse? I really do think that is why, I never speed and my brain was just all over the place thinking about these things. Comon quitting sux, someone should feel compasionatly right?! Any experiences, advice would be great. Please help me!!

All of your answers suck! Comon hasn't anyone ever heard of trying to fight a ticket! We in Canada fight tickets all the time and I THINK IT IS WORTH IT TO TRY BECAUSE I HAVE A PERFECT DRIVING RECORD. They will see that and realize it is out of character and reduce the fine. Geez almost anything works! You are all boring.
