Whenever I use my brakes the pedel will pump against my foot. I'm not sure if it's the pads or something else. My car is an '89 Mitsubishi Mirage in good condition. I just want to make sure that the repair people aren't a bunch of idiots. haha!

I am guessing that you mean it does this when you are moving?

If so, it is lieky due to your brake rotors being warped. Having them machined can fix this issue. Depending on what type of vehicle it is, a worse case would be a problem with the ABS system, but if that was the case, you would likely have an "ABS light" on the dash.gauge cluster.

In my experience, when that happens the first thing I consider is that the rotors need turned or replaced. Either way, when this is resolved I install new brake pads. Hope this helps

If it's vibrating relative to your speed then your brake rotors are warped. Get a brake inspection and have the rotors replaced. Call around to get a fair price.
