If speed is the main factor in road accidents (look at the speed cameras about) how come when ever I've seen these guys out and about their never going much more than about 60/65 MPH on our motorways with queues of traffic behind them, and yet their involed in a nine vehicle crash ?

I'm from the Netherlands, and I'm currently watching the episode "Crucified" of the series "Justice". In this episode, a 17 y/o is going to be tried as an adult for crucifying a school mate.

My questions:
Why does the DA (seem to) have the freedom to choose to try a minor as an adult? From what I gather, DAs in the US are under a lot of pressure to convict suspects and send them to jail for as long as possible. What effect does it have on the justice that is being done if opinion of the (usually not very well-informed) masses has such an impact of the toughness of the charges? It seems to me that you should be tried as an adult when you're actually an adult, and not at the whim of a DA/the masses.

Also, are there any advantages to being tried as an adult from the perspective of the accused? E.g., is the burden of proof for the DA bigger, seeing that the resulting penalty is higher for the accused?

I'm trying to see the fairness in this system, but I can't. Can anyone help me?

i'd like to think i am christian. okay so do i have to ask for forgiveness every second of the day, because i'm probabbly sinning without knowing it or something. so i would just ask for forgiveness before i go to bed at night. what if i were to get ran over by a car during hte middle of the day, and never got to ask for forgiveness for the sins after my last asking of forgivness. am i in trouble? how often do i have to ask for forgiveness?

Im 24 years old and have at least $7000 in credit card debts.For some unfortunate situations in my life(was in jail for 6 months) and couldnt pay my creditors for at least 6 months which made it go pastdue on my credit and affected my credit score really bad.Have a full time job now and trying to pay them off step by step but on top off that im in more financial distress.I need at least $1500 within a month for paying the court fines and stuff and was thinking to apply for a bank loan....Due to my bad credit history within past 6 months do you think any bank will give me loan?? I would just like something in return and I don't know how to ask for it without sounding like I'm nagging. Yes my husband works a 40 hour work week but all he does is come home, sit in his recliner and watch T.V. I work, come home, make dinner, feed the animals, do laundry, vaccuum, wash the bed covers, shovel snow/mow the lawn, pay the bills, sort the mail, grocery shop, I do it all. I understand that if I lived alone, I'd have to do all these things for myself anyway. What makes him exempt from all this. Yes he is spoiled and I love spoiling him but I need some help here digging out of the hole I've made. The things he does are very inconsiderate. If I have to work late and he knows there will be no dinner for him he'll order a pizza for himself-he'll never think about making or getting dinner for the 2 of us, just dinner for him. He never thinks past himself and I am very angry. Everything I do is for 2, everything he does is for him. I'm so unhappy. Help!

I'm 21 I have been on BC for 5-6 years, because of cramps. I went off birth control going on my 4th month now. Last 2 periods I had were 12days long and extreamly light. I was 6 days this month, then I started my period this morning. Normal period, lots of cramps. I had a lot, if not all, of the pregnancy symptoms(nausea, bigger breast, off and on bad head aches, fever, light cramping, more bathroom breaks1&2, sore nipples, back aches....) just about everything. So I was pretty upset when I got it. My hubby has been asking is co-workers when their wife got their + pregnancy test. So cute :). He came home very excited to tell me he bought more tests. It was a little sad telling him I started. He said it's ok maybe we aren't susposed to have a baby yet. It sucked hearing that but he is probably right. We aren't being "safe", so you can say we are trying. Were those symptoms form stoping BC pills? When should my hormones level out from stoping BC? Should I wait longer TC? Thank U!
