Hello,
Whatever you do, DO NOT ask a cop a question! he isn't mindfully rigged to give you any answer at all except one that suggests you are resisting arrest, and as for the quality of their driving skills, well! I watch a channel called Men and motors, and another Channel called Bravo, and saw the ways these upstanding officers of the righteous do their driving, they are very very dangerous people with the weapon in their hands known to us mere mortals as "a steering-wheel!"
This from an ex H.G.V driver with 42 years of accident free driving. Alistair Stewart told the viewers that all speed cameras are suspect, and drivers have the right to query the correct calibration of each and every one of them, Check the motoring correspondent in the Sunday Mirror, he is open to questions and he has a web-site for you to visit, and it could save you some cash and some legal bother. I have seen quite a lot of police vehicles in my time on the backs of breakdown trucks, in ditches, shop fronts, and under the tail-ends of some trucks too, now there's classy driving for you, Yes, you are right, they do conserve fuel by cruising the motorways, so they can have a mad dash if anything passes them. but if they are only doing 60/65, you are allowed to over-take them, and if you keep your driving and your documentation legal, then you should have nothing to fear from these idiots in funny coloured cars, with even funnier hooters on them, but remember, don't argue with them, get yourself a lawyer first, and let him do the talking, and if you end up in court, you too, are allowed to read from your note book, via your lawyer. it would help if your car or yourself was fitted with video camera and a voice recorder (you will have time to switch them on as the cop approaches you in your car to speak with you, give both instruments to you lawyer) but most importantly, remember you DO have the right to REMAIN SILENT..and have your legal reprentative present during any and all questioning. the law has to be fair, or we are in a police state........
