Why do engagement rings have to be diamonds these days? Mine isn't and I ADORE it, but I have even had one person say "Oh you must have been so disappointed when he gave you that!" I wasn't, and my ring is gorgeous, but I wondered why girls these days are so hung up on diamonds and the cost of the ring.

We currently live in this house. But going to make a bid on a new home. Not sure if we should rent it out or sell it. If we sell it its paid off, end of story. Rent will bring in mortgage payment plus extra, with monthly headache of renter. We have one rental so far. This would be our second. What would you do?

Well i am just wondering what i can do to put on some weight. I am 27 years old and no matter what i eat it has no effect on me i have heard i might just have a high metabolism which i understand but at this point i am so sick of this i want to at least gain 10 pounds or even 5. I have been like this since i was young thin but i am just wondering what steps i can take to put on some much needed weight i feel this is why i wear down so easy after a long day at work. So i guess if there is anyone that can help me on this i would be so greatful!!!!!!!!!!

I was in the ocean coast of baja california one afternoon and I spotted a number of dolphins swimming and jumping just about 50 feet from the shoreline. It was a cold day and nobody was on the beach but me and some friends. I had a strong temptation to fulfill a dream of mine and go swimming with dolphins but I was wondering whether swimming in the vicinity of wild dolphins was safe?

Parents struggled hard and they have given us every thing or at least two legs and the energy to stand on our own feet. Because of their energies we - most moved out of India, some stayed away from home- In this world of materialistic behavior where money has more time we are asking our elder generation to spend their time at either elderly homes or asking them to spend on the dollars/rupees forwarded to their account as we can not take up their presence.Where's the solution

My bf and I are long distance and for several weeks we've been planning that he'd come visit me next weekend. We haven't seen each other since New Year's. My mom's b-day is also on that weekend. I didn't plan on going home b/c I don't have a car, and my brother and sister who live in the same town didn't bother to inform me if they were gonna go home so I could ride with them. Well, now my mom called and said they were coming home so I should go with them. Even worse, they don't know that my bf is coming over; I didn't tell them because they don't like him. I am ticked off at my family for springing plans on me at the last minute. How should I resolve this situation? I hate to cancel on my bf because I don't know when I'll see him again if I do that. But I also don't want to piss off my family and be a bad daughter. What should I do?
