this is what really pisses me off...

they wait until last minute and act.

1. recycled water should of been introduced along before (for farmers and irrigators only)
2. let the murray darling basin alone just for personal and domestic use and drinking etc. NOT INDUSTRIAL which woulda gave us few more hundreds years worth of good water..
3. desanitation plants should of been made (to assist murray basin) instead of spending money on Army Defense research weapon systems and war ships, Wheres that (AU 6000 BILLION DOLLARS ) ? etc...

lets say the howard government did a very good job at making money off poorer countries and also did a very good job spending it on unnessessary stuff....

Anywayz I do not want to drink water thats has been treated even if they god rid of urine, ****, dead animals, humans, other stuff that should be left decomprosed...

just the thought of it make me sick.....
yes we did had a choice but now its too late when its dried up.. they obviously did not WANT TO SPEND MONEY FOR THE FUTURE until its too late... stupids..

Isn't the water we flush in our toilets recycled? we flush, it goes through a huge sewer system to end up at a treatment plant which cleans out the water and purifies it only to dump it back where it came from so we can drink it all over again. There have been huge studies that high levels of medications were being found in our local lake, one can only assume that these medications weren't purposely put there but we in fact peed them out, a further study on this showed that people who drank tap water also had these same medications in their bodies even though they were never prescribed medication. So to make a long story short we already drink recycled water!

All water is recycled anyway been that way since billions of years.
We have no problem eating fries which the spuds were grown with sewage thrown on them. Once water has been cleaned it is no different to any other water. How do you know you have not drunk water that has been passed through the bodies of dozens of creatures and humans?
Think about it.
We deficate and urinate and the water goes down the sewer and is treated (hopefully) and sent sometimes out to sea. The sun evaporates that same water and it comes down as rain back maybe into a resevoir back around to our tap and we brush our teeth with it.

some folks will only drink bottled water, others think tap water is good enough to drink. but when making coffee or frozen OJ, best use good water or it tastes wrong.

I drink tap water, but use bottled for coffee.

some cities only have recycled coming out of the tap.

I know it really sounds disqusting, but if push came to shove I'd do it. The recycled water you are referring to is called grey water and its purity rate is really pretty good. Several cities around my town use grey water to water yards and plants in the summer thus cutting down on consumption of drinking water.
