Today morning as I was driving to job, my car gave some problem. As I gave gas, the car got raised but the car moved very slowly. Whenever I gave gas the car got raised with a booommm....sound but was moving only at 20 m/hour speed. The rpmx1000 was going to 4 -5. so I changed the gear position to 2 and and some how managed to reach office.

Car is: 1994 mitsubish Galant, miles: 180K. previously mechanic told me that the transmission of my car is in bad condition. Some of my friends told me I have to change time-belt. recently when I used to break at signals the engine used give kind of "jump"

What could bethe problem with my car.

I m 24, Engineer looking for a career change to software from manufacturing Industry. I know C to some extent C++ thought of either learning J2EE or .NET &C#. But friends suggested to take software testing coz
1. There are large of progrmmers are there for J2EE, Market demand going down for JAVA.
2. It take atleast 1 to 2 year to be familiar or to that level to get the job in software company.
Instead for Testing
1. I can get into industry faster (my target is 5 months time) and once into the field.
2.i can simultaneously learn prog lang to move to programming later say 1 or 2 year down the line.
what should i do?

I am thinking about moving to Las Vegas in the next year or so. Are there realators that anyone can recommend? I am looking for a condo that is fairly new and in a nice/safe area? Ive been going on dating sites, and found everyone I met on there to be disapointments. Met them in person, and I wasnt impressed.
