I did somewhat examine in this question for you: enable us to take a representative occasion. there's a venerable individuals concept that a crimson sky interior the night alerts honest climate to maintain on with whilst a crimson sky interior the morning predicts undesirable climate. 2 diverse 'proverbs' according to this concept are to be got here upon interior the Oxford Dictionary of English Proverbs, third version (1970). they are: Sky crimson interior the morning is a sailor's (shepherd's) caution; sky crimson at night is the sailor's (shepherd's) delight. night crimson and morning gray help the concentrated visitor on his way; night gray and morning crimson convey down rain upon his head. it is an previous custom going back as many have reported to a clean testomony version (Matthew sixteen:2-3): "whilst it is night, ye say, it will be honest climate: for the sky is crimson. And interior the morning, it will be foul climate right this moment: for the sky is crimson and lowering." The Biblical text fabric delivers a smart terminus ante quem for this concept that's between the diverse climate sayings which has been examined by ability of meteorologists and found to be particularly precise. i'm hoping it is powerful.
