Love is something that grows and developes over a long period of time (many months or years). Love is when you feel you are better person because of knowing him, you respect each other, you admire who he is as a person. Love is when if he didn't feel the same way about you, you would let him go because you want nothing more than for him to be happy.

BY THE WAY, LOVE ALWAYS STARTS OUT IN THE FORM OF INFATUATION.

Well..you should be a little infatuated about your love but it's something that you just feel...and you'll truly know it. Trust your instinct. If you are just really lusting after someone then infatuation. If you miss being around someone and feel that you could build a future with them...then it's love. You won't waste anyone's time if you're truly into him. You can still have fun with him and figure out your true feelings along the way. Finding true love really takes a journey. Good luck.

When you are infatuated w/ someone, typically, he will say all the right things to you(true or untrue) and seem so exciting to be with at times, and will just keep you wondering what tomorrow brings...this will always end badly!!!! Love is just different, I am with a man who truely loves me, you feel 110% comfortable with each other, you know practically everything about them, they may not be 'mysterious' but trust me thats a good thing! When your not with him, who dont worry about what he could be doing, you totally trust him. He is there for you always-no matter what. I had to learn this the hard way, going through tons of losers that I was infatuated with, just for it to end badly! Good Luck

Infatuation is real. When you say, "waste your time", what specifically are you looking for? If you want a loyal mate for marriage and happily ever after, just ask him if that's what he's looking for (which is probably not). Then you can have your answer and move on with your plans with or without him. Just don't expect him to read your mind or be something that you believe he "should" be.

infatuation mostly doesn't last more than 6 months, unless it turns into love..
in infatuation, u feel anxious n have sweaty palms, etc. or butterfies in ur stomach when the person comes near, not so in true love..
in infatuation, u have more of lusty feelings, in love, more of feelings of caring..
infatuation usually happens suddenly, u start feeling that person is really wonderful, godly, etc.
that's all i can remember from an article in a teen advice type magazine sometime back..
my advice: give it time..keep distant till u r sure of ur feelings..

Its hard to tell at first if you are just getting to know each other because you are so absorbed in the mystery of who he is. But sometimes once that phase is over you find that you don't even him as a person because the INFATUATION is over.

infatuation- the need to know where someone is, what they are doing, who they are with, when you will see/talk to them again, and the panicky feeling that things could go wrong at any moment for any reason.

love- the feeling that all is well in your world, seeing your loved one when you can is a gift to be treasured, the security in knowing you are loved, the trust that comes with honesty, and a plan for a future. contentment.

Sometimes it's hard to tell. I think infatuation strikes like lightening and that's all you think of. Love sort of creeps up on you. Good luck.

Infatuation is fleeting. You want to be with them all the time, think they are perfect and can't get enough of them, but it fades. Love endures. You see all their faults and want to be with them anyway.
