Can any current or former Curves members tell me a bit about the start up process?

A few days ago, I was at a Relay for Life fundraiser, and in exchange for donations to the American Cancer Society, they were giving out two week gift certificates for Curves.

Aside from the two week guest pass, the certificate also says “Free Tour and Figure Analysis”.

I’ve actually been thinking about Curves for a while.

I’ve checked here as well as other message boards and woman have mentioned on the first visit they are weighed, measurements taken, body fat, etc.

My question is: they seriously charge for a tour?! Does that go even if you just want a looksie and not get weighed or anything?

I guess I just don’t want to waste my coupon on the tour/ figure analysis if I end up deciding not to try it.

My wife has a habit of raising her voice on me and the kids. It runs in her family and I have seen her parents raise their voice for very small issues. I think that now she subconciously thinks that if she raises her voice, she is right. I have told her countless times, but it does not do any good. It is driving myself and the kids to the point that we do not want to talk to her about issues. I would appreciate any advice.

What would you do if you ended your marriage to be with a man who you were in love with? Then to endure 2 years of his wishy-washy back and forth behavior between you and his wife?

What would you do if you got out of the military and ended up moving in with this man? Then to have him basically tell you that the only reason you are there is in case things don't work out with his wife?

What if he told you that his wife suspected you were there and he asked you if you were ready for a confrontation with her? Would you park your car somewhere else and hope that she didn't come by? Would you pack up your stuff and your animals and stay at a hotel until you found a room mate?

What would you do if you really loved him?

Ok i have a Siberian husky so i know what its like to walk big dogs, but I'm just wondering if dog walking is a good idea, i would charge like $5 for a reg size dog but like $10 for a large dog. Another thing is i was going to ask a friend to help me but her dad says we have to work at the pet place in my town but they aren’t hiring and I'm to young to get a job because I'm only 13 and people hire here at like 14 or 15 but then my mom says we should do it so should we talk to her dad about it because this is the best time of year to walk people dog because everyone wants to stay in side because its like -20 out and colder over the weekend and it could be a great opportunity, so please people give good answer and no stupid things please, i Do Not Want to Put Up With It thanks

I will put my question in other words to see if I get better response. I received 2 tickets DUI and Refusal to submit breath test on my New Jersey driver’s license in NJ. I live in Connecticut so after getting DUI (still not convicted) I changed my driver’s license to Connecticut driver’s license. Long story short…in court my DUI charges will be dismissed and I will plead guilty on refusal to submit breath test. Please reply to my following questions. Any reply will be greatly appreciated.


1. Will my conviction of refusal to breath test in NJ have any effect on my CT driver’s license? My DUI charges will be dismissed and I will have only conviction of breath test refusal.

2. Is refusal to submit breath test recorded on driving record? If yes, how long does it stay? Is it better to have refusal on record than DUI?

3. I am a permanent resident (green card holder). Can I go out of country and re-enter during the license suspension period?
