Help in chosing a softball glove?

There are SO many to choose from so I don't know which one to get. I'm playing infield. Any recommendations?

If you are playing infield then you should have a 11.5 to 12.5 inch glove, any bigger and you will have trouble getting the ball out fast enough to throw to first. If your playing first or the outfield then you would want a larger glove for the reach. My daughter plays left field and first base and she uses a 14" glove for that. Try to find one that is pre broke in from the factory as girls usually have a harder time closing a new glove until it is broke in good due to the smaller hand and not quite as much strength

There are several quality brands available. I would discuss it with your coach and see if he/she has any recommendations. Also go to 2 or 3 sports shops (if you have them available) and talk to the sales person. Try several different sizes and brands to see which ones fit best. The pocket should be large enough to field the ball, but the glove itself should feel comfortable and almost natural on your hand. You may not be able to feel the natural part at first, but it should be comfortable and there should not be any discomfort in the way the glove fits your hand. Again talk to the sports specialist in your area, they will have a wealth of untapped information and some of their answers may prompt additional questions from you. Hope this helps. i am in soft ball and i know that anything that you can crunch and move your hand around in make sure it isn't too stiff or too bothersome with the stiches... it also depends on the size of your hand! just make you can move it to get a sure grip on the ball and thenm move it out so you can throw it it is rare to find some like that the best palces to go for it is big 5 or sport chalet!!
